The To m o r r o w Campaign
Planning for the Future Today
Tomorrow. We always think there are many more tomorrows. Yet, for all of us, the end of life awaits. For those whose tomorrows are few, our mission since 1983 has been to “provide exceptional compassionate end-of-life care to our community.” Our Pillars of Excellence are testament to that mission:
Our goal is to meet the needs of those with advancing illness using a body-mind-spirit approachthat is supportive of both the patientand family. This holistic methodology, provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals, is unique in mainstream medicine and is truly a gift to those who benefit from our care.
As the only not-for-profit hospice in Marion County, we have developed a strategy to ensure sustainability and financial strength. With a goal of raising $5 million over the next three years, the Tomorrow Campaign will maintain the high quality of service available for patients and sustain our state-of-art hospice house facilities, while expanding the family-centric programs that benefit the well-being of community.
Hospice was there when we needed them.
I don’t know what I would have done without
care and support for my husband.
Our vision to support these programs includes:
- The Monarch Center for Hope & Healing, a dedicated building where anyone whose loved one has died can come for emotional healing. Individual and group programs range from play therapy for youngsters to grief workshops for adults, where participants paint, journal, make masks and create music.
- Our four state-of-the art Hospice Houses, which deliver a high level of compassionate comfort care in a serene homelike setting. Families, friends and pets are welcomed visitors.
- Creating a positive Patient-Family Experience. Palliative care consults for those of any age suffering from any condition ensure optimal pain and symptom control. Support staff offer a myriad of care modalities to help patients live life more fully.
- Case management through our Transitions program is one-of-a-kind inthe area, allowing those pursuing aggressive treatment to receivethe benefits of our supportive resources.
